Hello there
lovelies
Now I’m sure the
majority of you have already heard of (and probably own) Hydraluron from Indeed
Laboratories There’s been so much hype around it for a while now so I thought
I’d add my two cents.
I first started
using this around the start of October last year purely because I’d run out of
my usual serum and I’d heard good things about Hydraluron and I got it at 1/3
off bringing the price down from £24.99 to £16.66 which was cheaper than my
usual serum so I thought I’d give it a try. From my understanding all skin
contains hyaluronic acid and it is responsible for keeping skin plump and
supple but over time our stores become depleted causing skin to age. Hydraluron
contains hyaluronic acid which enables skin to retain it’s moisture and it also
helps moisturising products work more effectively as skin is better hydrated.
Hydraluron is a clear gel like substance that you apply to skin prior to
moisturising. It goes quite thin and watery as your rubbing it in, which I
didn’t like at first but it’s fine now I’m used to it, it then dries and goes a
bit more tacky and once completely dry leaves skin feeling smooth. By the time
I’d finished my first tube I wasn’t really sure how it had benefited my skin
and didn’t really notice any difference- until I stopped using it. I had to
wait a few days before repurchasing it and that’s
when I noticed what it does for my skin. In the few days I didn’t use it my
skin just felt less hydrated, not dry but less healthy, thirsty almost- like it
needed a good boost of moisture. Fortunately by the time I bought it it was on
offer again. My skin seems to love it, I still don’t notice any difference to
my skin when I’m actually using it but if I get a bit lazy and don’t use it for
a couple of days I notice it again. As for recommending this product I do
recommend it- it’s completely non-offensive and I can see it suiting all skin
types and if you feel like your skin is dehydrated I’d say to try this one out
and see what it can do for your skin. I don’t know that I can justify spending
£24.99 on it tough. Although my skin seems to enjoy it the only way I can
describe how I feel about it is “meh”! As for living up to the hype I just
don’t know as I’m still not entirely sure what this product actually does, all
I know is my skin doesn’t seem to like being without it which is why I’ll
continue t buy it. I’m just hoping that by the time this tube runs out it’s on
offer again, I hate paying full price for things when I’ve got them cheaper in
the past, maybe I’ll stock up next time it’s on offer so my skins thirst will
always be quenched.
Have you used
Hydraluron, what was your experience of it? Can you tell me what this product
actually does and why it looks like I’m going to be buying it forever?
Until next time
I just didn't notice a big enough difference in my skin to justify the price or the hype. I've been using avene's soothing hydrating serum and it has been amazing so far also Bioderma's Hydrabio serum, thats a hydrating serum that made me notice a difference straight away! xx
ReplyDeleteI love Bioderma so will have to try that one. I don't dislike Hydraluron I just find it a bit of a nothing-y product, my skin loves it though and I only notice what it does when I stop using it. I won't ever pay full price for it though as I don't think it's worth it. xx
